OUR CORE BUSINESS IS IN THE ALPS!

We live in the Alps, we love the mountains and nature, and we aim to combine this love with our work. The skills of our best conference interpreters, translators and terminologists have been employed by a number of Alps-related organisations. A prime example is the Alpine Convention for which INTRALP has been providing simultaneous interpreting for all its events since 2002, which include the Conferences of Ministries, and has translated and harmonised the corresponding work documents into the 4 Alpine languages. Communication is essential for cooperating when building projects, and it should not be hampered by the variety of different languages. We at INTRALP put all our experience and effort into meeting this challenge: for years we have been actively cooperating in numerous projects of Alpine Space and INTERREG Alcotra programmes (especially Italy-France and Italy-Switzerland), easing the path of collaboration and understanding between the partners.

We do this by providing a simultaneous interpreting service at major events or for small groups, sometimes with portable translation systems, or otherwise translate the texts of planning documents. Challenging but with great results!

Culture, art, literature

THE RIGHT PROFESSIONAL FOR YOUR NEEDS!

Each cultural event requires extensive skills and thorough knowledge and full preparation: the interpreter must also “get in tune” with the speaker to best be able to convey the original message into another language.

This is what we do at major cultural and literary events such as the Turin Book Fair or the meetings at the Goethe-Institut, Circolo dei Lettori (literary circle), the Gallery of Modern Art or the Fondazione Courmayeur. Translating of catalogues and the texts for art exhibitions is another important sector we carefully focus on. For instance, we work for Fort Bard and the Department for cultural heritage and activities of Valle d’Aosta Region.
